In addition, more than 141.1 thousand representatives of the Armed Forces who were in contact with infected COVID-19, after two weeks of quarantine and control testing, were removed from medical control. To date, 1,196 military personnel who test positive for coronavirus are under medical supervision. 634 patients with a new coronavirus infection are in military hospitals. 16 military men are treated by civilian doctors. Another 546 people are isolated at home.

It is reported that the vast majority of the disease is asymptomatic. However, one soldier is in serious condition. In another 13 people infected with coronavirus, doctors diagnosed the average severity of the disease. Among military personnel, cadets and students of universities of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, according to data to date, 94 people with coronavirus have been identified. In civilian personnel of the Armed Forces, a dangerous infection was found in 162 employees.

The department noted that more than a thousand people are now being treated in 18 multidisciplinary medical centers of the Russian Ministry of Defense, 353 of whom are civilians. “Patients receive all types of specialized care, from diagnostics to surgical treatment for the widest range of pathologies, including those affected by coronavirus infection,” the Russian Defense Ministry said.

The bulletin says that since the start of the work of the multidisciplinary centers erected by the Russian Ministry of Defense in 16 regions of the country, more than 28,800 patients have provided medical care there, over 10,200 of whom are civilians. “All of them received the necessary treatment in inpatient conditions of medical centers, recovered and were discharged,” the department informed.

To date, 211,569 people have undergone scheduled revaccinations in the Armed Forces, the Russian Defense Ministry said. They added that, by order of the head of the department, Sergei Shoigu, the military continues to provide assistance in providing oxygen to medical institutions of the municipal and state health systems at the expense of the production capabilities of the Aerospace Forces. For the needs of the regions, the Aerospace Forces have already transferred more than 233 tons of liquid oxygen.
