I’m 21.315 the new cases of coronavirus in Italy (yesterday they were +26,062, here the bulletin). The number of people who have contracted the Sars-CoV-2 virus (including recovered and died) since the beginning of the epidemic thus rises to at least 3,223,142. Today’s deaths are 264 dead (yesterday they were +317), for a total of 102.145 victims since February 2020. While the people recovered or discharged are 2,589,731: 9,835 altogether those that came out of the Covid nightmare today (+14.970 yesterday). And the current positives – the subjects who have the virus – turn out to be 531,266 in all (+ 11,205 compared to yesterday).

Total swabs (molecular and antigenic) were 273,966, 98,978 fewer than yesterday when they were 372,944

The pressure on the health system

The hospitalizations increase in the Covid, ordinary and intensive departments. The beds occupied in the ordinary Covid wards are + 365, for a total of 24,518 hospitalized. The beds occupied in therapy intensive (TI) I’m +100 (yesterday +68), bringing the total of patients hospitalized in these wards to 3,082 with 243 new admissions (the change in the number of beds occupied indicates the balance between patients who left and those who entered in the last 24 hours).
