22 dead, 33 injured in bus accident in southern Egypt
Authorities said 22 people were killed and 33 injured when a bus carrying 45 passengers from the capital Cairo crashed into a truck that had stopped to change a tire on the highway connecting to the capital Cairo near Minya, Egypt’s southern province today (July 19).
Ambulances rushed to the scene and took the injured to hospitals in Minya.
Traffic accidents kill thousands every year. Most of the accidents here are due to speeding, bad roads or violation of traffic laws.
In Egypt in 2020 around 7,000 people died in road accidents in the country.
