After a fire that occurred in December 2015 at the Portuguese Language Museum, the main access to Estação da Luz was reopened to users this Monday (25).

A 22-year-old young man was the victim of robbery (robbery followed by death) in the early hours of this Sunday (10), around Luz station, in the center of São Paulo.

Henry Bento Bernardes da Silva was returning from celebrating his own birthday when the crime occurred.

According to the Metropolitan Civil Guard (GCM), he and three friends were approached by five criminals at around 3am. The criminals wanted cell phones and a bicycle that the group was carrying.

Henriry refused to hand over the device and ended up being stabbed twice, one in the right arm and the other in the chest area.

When the GCM arrived at the scene, the agents checked the victim’s pulse and decided to take him in the vehicle to the Santana Emergency Room. According to the Guard, Henry was treated, but he did not survive his injuries.

The criminals fled, taking three cell phones and the bicycle.

According to the Public Security Secretariat (SSP), the case was registered as a robbery (robbery followed by death) in the 8th Police District – Brás. The Civil Police carries out investigations to try to identify and arrest criminals.
