22,865 new cases and 339 deaths. Positive at 6.7%

Time.news – Still in the epidemic curve in Italy is clearly growing. The new cases are 22,865 (yesterday 20,884), the highest figure since December 31st, when they were over 23 thousand. With 339,635 swabs, almost 20 thousand fewer than yesterday, so much so that the positivity rate soars to 6.7% (yesterday it was 5.9%).

There are 339 deaths (yesterday 347), for a total of 98,974 victims since the beginning of the epidemic. Hospitalizations are still increasing: intensive therapies are 64 more (yesterday +84), 2,475 in all, while ordinary hospitalizations increased by 394 units (yesterday +193), 20,157 in total. This is what emerges from the daily bulletin of the Ministry of Health.

The Region with more cases per day is Lombardy, still growing (+5.174), followed by Campania (+2.780), Emilia Romagna (+2.545), Piedmont (+2.167) and Lazio (+1.702). The total number of infections in a year is close to 3 million, 2,999,119.

The healed are 13,488 (yesterday 14,068), for a total of 2,453,706. The number of people currently positive is constantly increasing, 9.018 more (yesterday +6.425), 446.439 in all. Of these, 423,807 patients are in home isolation. (Time.news)
