23 days of continuous treatment – Telugu actor Nandamuri Tharaka Ratna passes away at 39

Renowned Telugu film actor and grandson of former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister NT Rama Rao, Nandamuri Dharaka Ratna passed away. He is 39 years old.

Nandamuri Taraka Ratna was the grandson of NT Rama Rao. Her father is Mohanakrishna, the fifth son of noted cinematographer NT Rama Rao. Nandamuri Dharaka Ratna made his acting debut in Telugu cinema in 2002. After that he acted in many films like Badatri Ramudu, Amaravati, Nandeeswaradu, Manamantha, Edirileni Alexander, Raja Sei Vesthe. He continued to act in leading roles and in 2009 he won the Nandi Award from the Andhra State Government for his performance in Amaravati.

Deciding to enter full-time politics, he has recently worked with the Telugu Desam Party. Last January 27, Chandrababu Naidu’s son Naralokesh participated in the padayatra. He was admitted to the hospital due to a sudden heart attack while participating in a padayatra in Kuppam constituency.

He was admitted to Bangalore Narayana Hrudayalaya Hospital for further treatment. After receiving treatment for the past 23 days, he had another heart attack this evening. This time he could not be saved.

His death has caused grief not only in NT Rama Rao’s family but also in Telugu cinema.
