Doha: The Ministry of Labor has closed down 23 employment recruitment offices and revoked their licenses for violating the rules. The action followed violation of provisions regarding recruitment of workers from foreign countries and failure to respond to customer complaints.
Rigorous scrutiny is being carried out to ensure that agencies are working to protect the rights of employers and domestic workers.
Public can directly inform the authorities on the hotline 40288101 if they have complaints related to domestic labour. The authorities have also suggested that violations of domestic labor recruitment offices should be reported accurately.
