On the occasion of the 100th edition of the mythical Sarthe race, the French brand, winner of the 1937 edition in the 3L category, is one of the participants through the LMP2 IDEC SPORT.

For the 100th edition of the 24 Hours of Le Mans, the French brand Delage, winner of the 1937 edition in the 3L category, will be among the participants through the LMP2 IDEC SPORT. The technical teams of Idec Sport and those of Delage Automobiles have decided to join forces: the LMP2 prototype of the Idec Sport team will therefore sport a blue livery in tribute to the legendary French manufacturer Delage for what will be the seventh participation for the two respective entities.

“The IDEC SPORT team is happy to carry out this partnership with Delage, says Patrice Lafargue, Chairman of the IDEC Group and founder of IDEC SPORT. This name means great things to automotive fans. And there is a real story in the Sarthe, a story that we have also been writing on our own for seven years now. It’s great to continue to write it and to carry out this special operation for this great celebration that will be the centenary of the most beautiful race in the world.»

Since 2019 and its takeover by Laurent Tapie, the Delage brand has experienced a new lease of life. After the presentations of the Delage D12 showcar in 2020 and 2021 then, last year, of the rolling prototype which impressed the spectators of the Goodwood Festival of Speed, Delage recorded several orders for its “F1 road car”, signed several agreements (in France and the United States), and started the production of the first customer cars, in Magny-Cours, for first deliveries in 2024. The European homologation of the D12 is expected before these first deliveries.
