Dismissed from his position as CEO of OL Groupe by the new owner John Textor, the 74-year-old manager will receive a nice jackpot.
Jean-Michel Aulas, removed from his position as CEO of OL Groupe, on May 5 in favor of the owner of the holding company which oversees the Olympique Lyonnais football club, the American businessman, John Textor, will receive just over 24 million euros in compensation, OL announced on Thursday.
At the time of the sale of OLG to Eagle Football chaired by Textor, for 798 million euros to which was added a capital increase of 86 million euros, on December 18, it was agreed that Mr. Aulas would remain CEO for a renewed term of at least three years.

A termination indemnity of ten million euros excluding tax will be paid to Holnest, the family holding company of Jean-Michel Aulas.
OL Groupe is also committed “to acquire from Holnest within three months of the conclusion of the agreement, one third of the OL Groupe shares that will be issued to Holnest for the reimbursement of its OSRANEs (convertible bonds issued for the construction of the stadium) owes 4,826,540 shares at a price of 3 euros each, i.e. a total of 14,479,620 euros».
The agreement for the provision of services also provides for a waiver of any recourse or action by Holnest or by Jean-Michel Aulas against OL Groupe.
The 74-year-old former manager, who will continue to cooperate with OL Groupe, has been appointed honorary chairman and remains a director as long as his holding company, Holnest, will hold voting rights and shares in the company while benefiting from various benefits in kind.
In addition, the company announced a 5% increase in its revenue from accounts over the first nine months of the 2022-2023 financial year, which amounted to 202.7 million euros (+9.2 million euros compared to last year at the same time despite the absence of participation in a European Cup).
Player sales represent revenue of 77.6 million euros (-4.6 million euros) with the transfers of Léo Dubois, Lucas Paqueta and Malo Gusto as well as 11.2 million euros from loans and various bonuses on other operations.
