“I decided to launch the ‘Heart of Azovstal’ project to help the defenders of Mariupol and the families of the fallen soldiers, whose achievement is unprecedented in modern history,” he said in his statement, adding that “today I am allocating one billion rybnias (25 million euros) to help the soldiers, our defenders and their families. The funds will be used for various needs of treatment, psychological assistance and up to specific medical requests.”
The question is what the former owner of Chelsea, Roman Abramovich, thinks about all this, when he sees funds from his former team helping to finance the Ukrainian army in the war with his homeland. By the way, Akhmatov revealed another agreement reached with the Blues on the transfer of the young star, when a future friendly match may take place at Donbass Arena, a major stadium in the Donetsk region.
