The embassies of 27 countries from Europe, North and South America, Oceania and Africa, which have already legislated similar provisions, issued a joint statement welcoming last night’s approval of the bill for the equality of same-sex couples in civil marriage. thus welcoming Greece with cheers to the “club” of more than 37 states that have granted recognition and equal rights for families with same-sex parents.

“We celebrate this historic moment with the people, the parliament and the government of Greece” emphasize the embassies of 28 countries, almost all developed economies and members of the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), which include the United States, France , Germany and the United Kingdom.
