Hungarian budget airline Wizz Air has announced the temporary suspension of all flights to and from Tel Aviv until January 14, 2025.
This was reported by The Times Of Israel.
This decision comes against the backdrop of the ongoing unstable situation in the region, which makes it difficult to carry out safe flights. Wizz Air has become the latest airline to limit its operations in Israel due to escalating tensions.
However, today it became known that two airlines are returning flights from Israel.
Cyprus airline Tus Airways has announced a significant expansion of routes from Tel Aviv. From today it will begin operating a new daily flight to Budapest, and will also fly to Sofia and Vienna three times a week. In addition, two daily flights are being added to Athens and Crete, as well as a third additional flight to Larnaca.
At this time, against the background of massive cancellations of flights of other air carriers to Israel, the Uzbek airline Centrum Air enters the market. This month it will begin operating two flights a week from Tel Aviv to Tashkent, the capital of Uzbekistan.
Earlier, Kursor reported that a flight to Israel for $60 turned out to be an unexpected discovery for passengers.
Passengers bought tickets to Israel for $60 and found the plane almost empty.
