The meeting with the President of the ICAO Council, Salvatore Sciacchitano, was an opportunity to discuss the opportunities to promote air transport in Africa in general and in Morocco in particular, as well as the examination of the impacts of liberalization of air transport on the economic and social development of States, indicates a press release from the Ministry of Transport and Logistics, adding that the two parties also discussed Morocco’s efforts in the decarbonization of air transport by 2050.

Likewise, Mr. Abdeljalil held a meeting with Singapore’s Minister of State for Transport, Amy Khor, on exploring opportunities to strengthen technical cooperation in developing skills and capacities in the areas of civil aviation.
The two ministers examined the possibilities of developing a bilateral cooperation framework to encourage the exchange of experience in the field of sustainable mobility and land transport.
Abdeljalil also held a meeting with the Saudi Minister of Transport and Logistics Services, Saleh Al-Jasser, the press release continued, indicating that at the start of this meeting the two parties praised the excellence of the cooperative relations between Morocco and Saudi Arabia and expressed their desire to further promote these links, particularly in the transport and logistics sectors.
The two officials discussed opportunities to strengthen technical cooperation in the field of transport and examine ways to develop a cooperation framework in the field of civil aviation and air transport.
On this occasion, Mr. Abdeljalil expressed Morocco’s desire to benefit from Saudi expertise in the field of transport and digitalization of services, particularly in the context of the organization of the 2030 World Cup.
For his part, the Saudi minister extended an invitation to Mr. Abdeljalil to participate in the Middle East Regional Aviation Safety Group under the ACAO, the press release concluded.
