Within the past day, the police found a total of 29 drivers who got behind the wheel after consuming alcohol – 20 of them drove after consuming alcohol from 0.5 to 1.2 per thousand, and nine – with more than 1.2 per 1000. reported by the Ministry of the Interior.
Six drivers were found to be driving under the influence of narcotic substances or their analogues, three refused testing.
As part of the specialized police operation ordered to comply with the Road Traffic Act, 9,786 motor vehicles were checked. 11,632 drivers and passengers were checked. 2,524 slips and 560 acts were drawn up for established administrative violations.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs announced on its website that in the period from April 19 to 25, 77,993 motor vehicles were checked within the framework of the ordered specialized police operation for compliance with the Road Traffic Act. 90,111 drivers and passengers were checked. 22,539 slips and 4,997 acts for established administrative violations were drawn up. Emphasis in the action is the prohibition of driving by drivers who have used alcohol, narcotic substances and/or their analogues, as well as driving of motor vehicles by unlicensed drivers. During the past week, a total of 177 drivers who got behind the wheel after consuming alcohol were identified. 64 drivers were found to be driving under the influence of narcotic substances or their analogues, 33 refused to be tested.
BTA recalls that during the past 24 hours, 13 serious accidents were registered on the territory of the country, in which one person died and 17 were injured.
