2G rule brings cuts for the unvaccinated

by time news

In Austria, stricter corona rules will apply from Monday: Those who have neither been vaccinated nor recovered will be excluded from practically all public amusements. The Ministry of Health issued the corresponding ordinance on Sunday evening. Some details of the 2G rules were not yet known, such as those for children and adolescents. Compulsory school students do not need to be vaccinated to gain access, the ninja pass is sufficient for them.

Vaccination or recovery is becoming standard in many areas

According to the regulation, 2G now applies wherever 3G previously applied, for example in restaurants, theaters or concerts (but not in museums), sporting events or body-friendly services such as the hairdresser. But visits to hospitals and old people’s and nursing homes are also affected – with exceptions.

You can still go to work just tested, and until November 14th, instead of a 3G certificate, you can still wear an FFP2 mask all the time. The most recently controversial, because personnel-intensive, exit controls from the districts, which applied almost nationwide in Upper Austria, are no longer applicable. In the case of vaccination, the validity of the proof will decrease from 360 to 270 days after the second bite from December 6th. Up to the same deadline, an initial vaccination including an additional PCR test is sufficient as 2G detection.
