Former skipper Kapil Dev is in 2nd place with 434 wickets (131 matches).
In 3rd place is spinner Ravichandran Ashwin, who is currently playing for the Indian team. He has taken 427 wickets in 81 matches so far.
Ashwin has a chance to become the second highest wicket-taker for India in Test cricket if he takes 8 wickets in the Test series against South Africa starting yesterday.
This will enable him to overtake Kapil.
