(Web Desk) 3 Indian citizens involved in the murder of Sikh leader Hardeep Singh Nagar in Canadian territory have been arrested and charged.
According to foreign media, 45-year-old Hardeep Singh Nagar was shot dead in June last year in a suburb of Vancouver, the city with the largest population of Sikhs. After the diplomatic tensions between the two countries escalated, Canadian police Superintendent Mandeep Moker said in announcing the arrests that three suspects have been arrested, including 22-year-old Karan Brar, 22-year-old Kamal. Preet Singh and 28-year-old Kiran Preet Singh are involved.
He said that the three Canadians live in the city of Edmonton, Alberta, from where they were arrested. The case against them includes several counts of murder. The police said that the three suspects had been in Canada for three to five years. Investigations are going on from various angles, including the connection with India.
Assistant Commissioner David Teboll said that separate investigations are ongoing in this case, not only about the people arrested today, but also involving other aspects and individuals. are cooperating but this cooperation has been quite difficult and challenging for many years.
