Army soldier Lakshmanan from Tamil Nadu died in a terrorist attack in Jammu and Kashmir. His funeral was held the day before yesterday. Finance Minister PDR Palanivel Thiagarajan was returning by car after paying tributes to his body which arrived at Madurai Airport earlier. Then, the BJP blocked his car and raised slogans and a woman threw her shoe at his car.
In connection with this incident, the police registered a case under four sections against 6 people including BJP Madurai Metropolitan District Vice President Kumar, District Propaganda Secretary Bala, Trichy’s Gopinath, Jayakrishna and Mohammad Yakub. The district court has ordered to remand all 6 people till the 26th.

At this stage, the police were looking for some other people involved in the case. Tallakulam Assistant Commissioner of Police Suresh Kumar led the special forces ambushed at Vagaikulam near Thirumangalam.
Three women Saranya, Thanalakshmi and Deivayanai were arrested by the special police and produced in the court and imprisoned. Among them, the shoe thrown by Thanalakshmi hit the minister’s car.
