3 young missionaries die in accident on BR 364

Three young missionaries died in a traffic accident at dawn last Saturday, August 5th, while traveling to the missionary training center in Porto Velho (RO). Two others suffered injuries and are hospitalized.

The news was shared by the Jocum Brasil page on social networks. According to the report, the five were traveling in a car leaving Campo Grande (MS) towards the training center in Introduction to Ethno-linguistic and Cultural Studies (IECC) in Porto Velho.

According to information from the portal Ariquemes nowthe car the missionaries were traveling in collided with a truck on the BR-364 highway, at the height of KM-512 towards Jaru, about 200 kilometers from their destination.

The driver reported that the young people’s car, a Ford Fiesta, lost control, left the track and when returning collided with the trailer. According to him, the collision occurred due to the lack of shoulder on the lane of the BR-364.
