30 killed in Israeli raids on Lebanon, and countries warn of all-out war

by times news cr

The Lebanese Ministry of Health reported today, Wednesday, that 30 people were killed and 97 others injured so far, as a result of the raids launched by Israeli aircraft today on all regions of Lebanon.

This comes as an addition to the toll announced by the Lebanese Ministry of Health yesterday, Tuesday, in which it confirmed that “the death toll from the Israeli attack on Lebanon reached 558 dead, in addition to 1,835 injured.”

This toll is likely to rise as Israeli raids continue.

In turn, Israeli Army Radio said that the Air Force attacked about 150 targets in Lebanon since this morning and continues to carry out raids there, noting that the army attacked for the first time a town in Mount Lebanon, north of Beirut, about 120 kilometers from the border.

The Israeli army also confirmed carrying out several raids targeting dozens of Hezbollah weapons depots, distributed among a number of villages and sites in southern Lebanon.

At dawn today, Hezbollah announced the launch of a ballistic missile towards Tel Aviv, for the first time since the escalation began about a year ago, targeting the Mossad headquarters. But the Israeli army intercepted him.

The Israeli Broadcasting Corporation reported that 40 missiles were monitored from Lebanon towards Safad, and at least one shell was confirmed to have landed in the city.

In another context, Egypt, Jordan and Iraq warned on Wednesday that Israel was “pushing the region into an all-out war,” as it continued the war in the Gaza Strip and escalated the aerial bombardment against Hezbollah in Lebanon.

The foreign ministers of the three countries said, in a joint statement, after a meeting in New York on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly, that they discussed “the dangerous escalation taking place in the region, and stressed that stopping this escalation begins with stopping the Israeli aggression against Gaza.”

Since Monday, violent Israeli raids have been targeting southern and eastern Lebanon, in a sharp escalation of the ongoing conflict between the Hebrew state and Hezbollah, since October 2023, against the backdrop of the war between Israel and Hamas in the Gaza Strip.
