‘Ponniyin Selvan’ is a hugely successful film directed by Mani Ratnam. The first part of the film was released on September 30. It stars Vikram, Trisha, Karthi, Jayam Ravi, Aishwarya Rai, Prakash Raj, Prabhu, Sarathkumar, Jayaram, Vikram Prabhu, Kishore, Parthiban, Raghuman etc. Music for the film is composed by AR Rahman.
AR Rahman and Mani Ratnam teamed up for the first time in the 1992 film Roja. AR Rahman made his music debut with Mani Ratnam’s Roja. Subsequently, this alliance has completed 30 years with Ponni’s Selvan.
