New Delhi: There has been a lot of growth in small cap shares in the stock market in the last few months. Seven smallcap stocks included in the portfolio of veteran investor Dolly Khanna have gained significantly in the last two months. This has brought about Rs 300 crore into Khanna’s kitty. These include Sazzler Electronics, Zuari Industries, Pondy Oxides and Chemicals, Chennai Petroleum Corp, Rajshree Sugars and Chemicals, KCP Ltd and J Kumar Infraprojects. This year these shares have increased by 11 to 76 percent. Khanna has one to two percent stake in these companies. Shares of Sazzler Electronics have increased by 76 percent in the last two months. Last year it had increased by 65 percent. As of the end of December, Khanna holds one percent stake in this company. Khanna’s holding in the company is worth Rs 12 crore. Pondy Oxides and Chemicals has grown by 43 percent this year whereas last year it had jumped by 33 percent. Khanna has 2.4 percent stake in it. This company is among the major companies manufacturing lead, lead alloys and plastic additives in the country. However, the stake of institutional investors in the company is negligible.

Khanna holds 1.32 per cent stake in Chennai Petroleum Corp. It is one of the largest refineries in South India. The company’s shares have risen 30 percent so far this year, whereas last year it had risen 228 percent. The value of Khanna’s stake has reached Rs 177 crore. Shares of Rajshree Sugars and Chemicals have gained 23 percent so far this year. Khanna has more than one percent stake in this company. Shares of road construction company J Kumar Infraprojects have risen 11 percent so far this year. This stock gave multibagger returns last year. Khanna has one percent stake in this company.
