A video of US President-elect Donald Trump appearing at his golf club in Florida with an unexpectedly changed hairstyle has gone viral online.
New look or coincidence?
In the footage, Trump removes his signature red “Make America Great Again” cap and asks clubgoers whether they had a good time and whether they support the Republican Party. The answer is a unanimous “Yes!” However, the main attention of the audience was attracted by his hairstyle.

Some noted that the politician’s hair looked shorter, and his temples seemed to be cut and combed up. Others suggested that it was simply the result of his hair being pinched by the cap he had taken off. One of the users joked that entrepreneur Elon Musk, known for his unconventional approach to image, could be behind the changes in appearance.
Trump’s hairstyle has long been his calling card and the source of many memes. Some compared his hair to a lion’s mane, while others sneered at his tousled strands. Journalist Michael Wolf argued in his book that, according to Ivanka Trump, her father has undergone several hair transplant procedures, regularly tints his strands and spends considerable time on styling.
Return to classic style?
Similar experiments with Trump’s hair have already happened. In 2019, he appeared at a memorial event for victims of the shooting in Virginia with his hair slicked back, but soon returned to his usual style. Perhaps this time his new image will turn out to be a temporary episode, which only increased the public’s interest in his personal style.
