New Delhi: 314 applicants including Amazon India have been approved to operate 24 hours in capital Delhi.
An official in the Delhi Lieutenant Governor’s office said today that the notification in this regard will be issued in a week. It is to be noted that Amazon submitted this application three years ago.
The approval paves the way for overnight delivery of Amazon products in Delhi.
Starting next week, more than 300 companies will be able to operate, apart from hotels, restaurants, restaurants, online delivery services of food, medicines, logistics and other essential goods, transport and travel services, KPOs and BPOs.
This decision to grant exemption under Sections 14, 15 and 16 of the Act of 1954 is expected to increase employment generation and promote favorable business environment.
