Vice Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Kanat Bozumbayev, who is currently in Aktau, reported details of the passenger plane crash.

He said that 38 deaths are currently known. The Deputy Prime Minister also clarified that the necessary examinations will be carried out to identify the bodies of the dead.
“The situation is not very good, 38 dead. The bodies are in poor condition, mostly burnt. 29 people, including two children, are injured in hospitals, about 11 of them are stable, the rest are of moderate severity,” noted Bozumbayev.
He also assured representatives of the Azerbaijani delegation that all the necessary medicines to treat the victims were available, and a special plane with qualified doctors was also sent from Astana.
Kanat Bozumbayev said that among the survivors there is one woman, whose identity has not yet been established – she is unconscious in the hospital and has no documents. Of the remaining 29, there are no surviving citizens of Kazakhstan.
According to the Deputy Prime Minister, the investigation into the incident is carried out under the control of the Prosecutor General’s Office of Kazakhstan, as well as the Ministry of Internal Affairs and aviation authorities. He added that Azerbaijani colleagues are working on the spot and will also participate in the investigation.
