Turkish Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloglu survived a plane crash that occurred near the city of Aktau in Kazakhstan on December 25 during a flight from Baku to Grozny.
This was reported by the news portal Haber.
Azerbaijani airlines reported that an eight-member investigative commission from Turkey had been appointed to investigate the crash and the deaths of passengers on the AZAL-owned plane.
“At the agency’s request, we have formed an expert commission to investigate the causes of the accident, conduct technical and operational analysis and provide the necessary support. Our delegation will work in coordination with local authorities to study all aspects of the incident and report the results,” Uraloglu said.
He said that the delegation will leave for Baku in the evening, December 28, and will begin its work the next day. He emphasized that Türkiye always supports Azerbaijan in any situation and expressed wishes for a speedy recovery to the victims.
Earlier, Kursor wrote that a group of analysts, the Conflict Intelligence Team (CIT), specializing in investigations in the field of military conflicts, presented their analysis of the causes of the crash of the Embraer 190 aircraft in Aktau, Kazakhstan.
In addition, Kursor has already reported that the Azerbaijan Airlines plane that crashed on December 25 near Aktau, Kazakhstan, according to the investigation, was shot down by a Russian surface-to-air missile. The pilots received an order to continue the flight and direct the aircraft towards Aktau across the Caspian Sea.
However, GPS navigation was deliberately suppressed, which significantly complicated the maneuver and control of the aircraft.
