The head of the Federal Air Transport Agency, Dmitry Yadrov, made a statement today, saying that the Russian side is ready for close cooperation with Kazakh and Azerbaijani colleagues in the investigation of the plane crash in the Aktau region.

According to Yadrova, difficult conditions in the area of Grozny airport were the main reason for changing the route.

Yadrov said that at the time of the incident, Ukrainian drones were attacking civilian infrastructure in Grozny and Vladikavkaz, and because of this, the “Carpet” regime was introduced in the airport area, which requires the immediate withdrawal of all aircraft from the dangerous area.

Additionally, Yarov noted that there was thick fog in the area of the airport, and visibility at an altitude of 500 meters was completely absent. The plane’s crew attempted to land twice, but without success. After this, the aircraft commander refused offers to land at other airports and sent the plane to Aktau.

“There are many factors that require a thorough investigation. We are ready to work together with our colleagues,” said the head of the Federal Air Transport Agency.

Earlier, Kursor wrote that Euronews reported that a Russian missile shot down a plane that crashed in Kazakhstan.

The Z-channels put forward a version that the Russian army was trying to hide the fact that the plane was shot down by air defense – and the Russian command hoped that the plane would simply fall into the sea.

Throughout its flight over the sea, the aircraft’s GPS navigation systems were muted, making an emergency landing impossible. As a result of the crash, 38 people died, 29 survived.
