The UN agency for Palestine refugees UNRWA is preparing to close its offices in the Gaza Strip and Judea and Samaria. This is explained by the fact that strict restrictions are being introduced, which the Israeli parliament voted for.

The New York Times reports this, citing its sources.

This refers to the law that the Knesset passed with an overwhelming majority of votes (92 for, 10 against). The law prohibits UNRWA from operating in Israel and prohibits authorities from contacting the UN agency.

The changes will come into force 90 days after the adoption of the law, that is, at the end of January.

While these changes will not, in principle, prevent UNRWA from working in the Gaza Strip, Judea and Samaria, as a senior agency representative, Louise Wateridge, told the publication, without the possibility of coordination with the Israeli authorities, a threat to the lives of agency employees cannot be ruled out.

Let us remind you that “Cursor” wrote that today terrorists from the Gaza Strip again launched a missile attack on Israel. The alarm warning of a missile attack sounded in Sderot, Nir Am and Ibim.

Cursor also reported that eight members of the Knesset Committee on Defense and Foreign Policy submitted a petition to Defense Minister Yoav Katz, calling for the destruction of all sources of water, food and energy in Gaza.

Cursor also reported that in December, Israel Defense Forces (IDF) fighter jets, attack helicopters and drones conducted more than 1,400 airstrikes against terrorists in the Gaza Strip, providing active support to mobile forces in the enclave.

In addition, Cursor wrote that France strongly condemned the operations of the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), which carried out operations to combat terrorists at the Kamal Adwan Hospital and other medical institutions.
