A Jewish passenger on an American Airlines flight from Miami was shocked to see one of the flight attendants wearing a badge in the shape of a watermelon. This symbol is often associated with the pro-Palestinian movement. The incident sparked a conflict, which the passenger recorded on video and posted on Instagram.

“The flight attendants were outraged and said that I broke the law by filming them,” he wrote in his post. “They didn’t allow me to get off the plane and demanded that I delete the video. Of course I didn’t.”

Police later arrived at the scene of the incident. They ordered the flight attendants to allow the passenger to leave the plane.

In the released recording, a man can be heard accusing one of the flight attendants: “You support terrorism. You are anti-Semitic. Why won’t you let me get off the plane? Because I’m Jewish? You are anti-Semitic.” To this, the flight attendant replied that she did not know about his nationality, and explained that she was holding him because of “harassment of the crew.”
