Pamela Anderson shared details of the incident where she believes she was “almost killed” on board a plane. The Baywatch star spoke about an incident that could have ended tragically when one passenger mistook her for another celebrity.
During an interview on the Happy Sad Confused podcast on Jan. 6, Anderson, 57, talked about how she narrowly escaped a dangerous situation.
Host Josh Horowitz asked the actress if she had ever been confused with another celebrity, to which Anderson shared her memory of that terrible incident.
“I was on a plane one time and a man came up to me and said, ‘Do you know what this country has done for you?’ I was in shock, I didn’t understand what he was talking about, and when I looked at him, he was already growling at me. The flight attendant had to handcuff him to the seat because he was trying to attack me,” Anderson recalled.
As it turned out, the man confused Anderson with the lead singer of the Dixie Chicks, Natalie Maines, famous for the 2003 scandal. Then the singer condemned US President George Bush and the war in Iraq.
“I was almost killed on the plane,” Pamela Anderson admitted.
The incident left her in such shock that she was afraid to fly for a long time afterwards. “When you look back and he’s growling at you…” Pamela added.
Horowitz, in turn, noted: “This is only the 400th strange incident in your life.” “Yeah, it wasn’t that scary! Anderson agreed. “But after that I was a little afraid of flying.”
