The Lebanese Army is actively expanding its presence in the western sector of southern Lebanon. As Israeli journalist Doron Kadosh reported, in recent days the deployment of forces in this region has been quite dynamic.

Telegram channel “Alexey Zheleznov” writes about this.

According to him, at the moment, Lebanese army units have already occupied key positions in Naqoura, Alma a-Shaab, Tir Harf, Ramiya and Aytarun.

However, according to Kadosh, the IDF continues to hold its positions in such populated areas as Labuna, al-Dahira, Ma’afin, Ayita a-Sha’b and Maroun a-Ras. The journalist noted that the Israeli army, apparently, remains in those areas where the dismantling of the terrorist infrastructure still needs to be completed, while leaving areas where such work has already been completed.

Kadosh also shared a map showing the deployment centers of both sides. It demonstrates that the Lebanese army’s deployment process is not tied to clear geographical agreements, but rather reflects a strategic approach to the distribution of forces.

According to Doron Kadosh, in the eastern sector of southern Lebanon the situation with the deployment of the Lebanese army is noticeably different. Here the process of advancement to the first line of villages is extremely slow and limited.

Kadosh noted that at the moment the IDF retains control over the entire first line of settlements, starting from Kfar Qila and ending with Mis al-Jabel. Although the Lebanese army was able to occupy certain positions in the area of the city of Al-Khiyam, other points, according to the journalist, still remain under the control of IDF forces.

Earlier, Cursor reported that the US envoy to the Middle East said that the situation with southern Lebanon was about to stabilize and the IDF would withdraw its units within the agreed time frame.
