The Central Bank of Libya announced the opening of 339 documentary credits for companies during the month of March.
On Thursday, the bank published on its official Facebook page the details of requests to open documentary credits for companies that were implemented during the period from 1 to 27 of this month of March, based on the circular of the Banking and Monetary Control Department at the Central Bank of Libya No. (2/2024) dated 2024. On February 1, 2024, regarding the controls governing dealing in foreign exchange, and in reference to Paragraph No. (6) of the general controls in the circular, which requires the approval of the parties requesting the opening of credits for the Central Bank of Libya to publish the details of those credits.
The Central Bank of Libya explained that the documentary credits included companies specialized in importing foodstuffs, medicines, electronics, petrochemicals, construction and contracting, car spare parts, home furniture, livestock, meat, medicines, medical preparations and other specialties.
