Within the past day, a total of 34 drivers who got behind the wheel after consuming alcohol were identified, the Ministry of the Interior announced. Of these, 16 drove after consuming alcohol from 0.5 to 1.2 per thousand, and 18 – with more than 1.2 per 1000, two refused to be tested.

Nine drivers were found to be driving under the influence of narcotic substances or their analogues, seven refused testing, writes BTA.

11,086 motor vehicles were checked within the framework of the ordered specialized police operation to comply with the Road Traffic Act. 10,834 drivers and passengers were checked. 2,526 slips and 572 acts were drawn up for established administrative violations. Emphasis in the action is the prohibition of driving by drivers who have consumed alcohol, narcotic substances and/or their analogues, as well as driving of motor vehicles by unlicensed drivers.

A total of 15 people were injured in accidents in the country in the last 24 hours, the Ministry of the Interior announced on its website earlier today. There were 13 serious traffic accidents in the country.
