An elderly man living in Narva contacted the police after receiving a call from a woman who introduced herself as a police officer and stated that someone wanted to take out a loan on his behalf. To prevent this, the man had to enter passwords for his online banking, which he did. The damage caused by the scam is 8,600 euros.

On November 30 in Narva-Jõesuu, a bus passenger was injured as a result of an accident caused by a dog. The incident occurred around 10 a.m. near house number 22 on Vabaduse Street. According to the police, the Scania Citywide bus braked sharply to avoid colliding with a dog that had jumped onto the roadway. As a result of the emergency braking, a 63-year-old woman in the car fell, and first aid was provided on the spot.

Last weekend, border guards did not allow 21 Moldovans, 12 Russians and one Belarusian citizen into Estonia at the Narva-1 border crossing. Foreigners were banned from entering and were sent back to Russia.
