34th Tour du Faso: Moroccan cyclist Oussama Khafi 2nd, Burkinabe Boureima Nana winner of the 9th stage
Ouagadougou – Moroccan cyclist Oussama Khafi came second in the 9th stage of the 34th Tour International du Faso, held on Saturday and won by Burkinabe Boureima Nana.
Cyclist Boureima Nana completed this stage between Bobo, Dioulasso and Pa (126.700km) in 2h45mn21sec, an average speed of 45.975km/h.
The Moroccan colours are defended during this competition by Achraf Ed-Doghmi, Adil El Araboui and Oussama Khafi, ranked respectively 3rd, 4th and 10th at the African level according to the latest ranking of the Africa Tour, alongside El Houçaine Sabbahi, Anouar Rahmou and Ibrahim Sabahi, under the leadership of the national executive Mouhcine Lahssaini.
On Thursday, cyclist Adil El Arbaoui won the 7th stage between Koudougou and Boromo (122.800km) by beating Belgians Van De Mieroop Sam and Wouters Rutger.
Achraf Ed-Doghmy, for his part, won the 4th stage of this Tour, and also took second place in the 6th stage won by Burkinabe Paul Daumont who still retains the yellow and green jerseys.
