On Monday (September 30), the students took a procession from Shahbagh around 1 pm and took a position in front of Chief Adviser’s residence Yamuna.

Job aspirants from different parts of the country can be seen joining this gathering. At this time, they raised various slogans about increasing the age limit for job application to 35. At that time the police threw tearshells at them.

Agitating student Mamun Rashid Ratan told RisingBD that our agitation will continue until the age limit of 35 is announced. Law enforcers have hurled tearshells at our peaceful positions. Two of our students were injured.

DMP Additional Police Commissioner (Crime and Operations) in this regard. Israel Hawladar told reporters that there was already a ban on gatherings in front of the chief adviser’s residence. But the agitators defied the police ban and went in front of the chief adviser’s house. We are taking action considering the situation.

Meanwhile, additional law enforcement personnel have been deployed at the Chief Adviser’s residence to avoid chaos.
