Coronavirus updates on Saturday 25 September
I am 3,525 new cases * of coronavirus in Italy (3,797 yesterday, here the bulletin). It goes up like this at least 4.657.215 the number of people who have contracted the SARS-CoV-2 virus (including recovered and died) since the outbreak began. THE deaths today I’m 50 (yesterday there were 52), for a total of 130,653 victims from February 2020. People recovered or discharged they are altogether 4.423.988 e 4.451 those that came out of the Covid nightmare today (5,466 yesterday). The positive current – the subjects who have the virus – appear to be 102,574 in all, equal to 982 less compared to yesterday (-1.527 the day before).
The swabs and the scenario
I total swabs (molecular and antigenic) were 357.491 (+ 79.983 compared to yesterday). While the 1% positivity rate (approximation of 0.98%); yesterday it was 1.4% (the approximation of 1.368%). Here is the map of the contagion in Italy.
The health system
They are still decreasing in the medical area and in resuscitation. The beds occupied in the ordinary Covid wards are -56 (yesterday -97), for a total of 3,497 hospitalized. The beds occupied in intensive care (ICU) are -8– this is the balance between the people who left and those who entered ICU – (yesterday -16), bringing the total of the most seriously ill patients to 481, with 26 new entries in intensive care (yesterday 35).
I vaccinated
The vaccine doses administered are over 83.6 million. Citizens who have received the second dose are over 41.7 million (77.39% of the population over 12). 44.7 million people (82.83% of vaccinables) received a single dose, while 37,485 received the additional dose. * The Abruzzo Region announces that 2 cases have been eliminated from the total of positives as they are not COVID-19 cases. The Emilia Romagna Region reports that 3 cases have been eliminated: 2 cases, positive to antigen test but not confirmed by molecular swab and 1 case communicated in the previous days as it was not considered COVID-19 case. The Friuli Venezia Giulia Region reports that the total of positive cases was reduced by 1 following the review of 1 case (case outside the Region).
