“She was an amazing woman, she was so real, so loyal,” her husband eulogized her, “her friends would always say that she was a true friend. She always knew how to say the right thing, and she never lied, for better or for worse. She would say the truth and no matter what. She was my best friend. She was a great mother and a loyal daughter. Always thought of her parents first. She was the engine of the house. She knew how to push forward.

“I would always say if it wasn’t for you, I don’t know where I’d be. Maybe I’m stuck somewhere in the past. Always pushed, always wanted to have time to do things. Always wanted to see the world, go out and spend time with friends and be with the children. Family was very important to her.

“Every Friday she would say let’s light candles. We have now moved to a new apartment and she planned that now we will start having family meals together. She didn’t have enough time to enjoy this house as much anymore. She was a woman from above. I would call her Wonder Woman. Everyone loved her. There are many people , who call me and send their condolences is simply a hallucination. I lost half my soul. With all my shortcomings, she was my advantage.”

“It happened exactly on my 40th birthday, which we celebrated on Friday,” he said, “she put on a crazy production. I didn’t even know we were going abroad. She told me that they were going to the weekend for her work, that they were bringing spouses. She talked about it, as it were, with her friends, told about a good stand-up artist, I saw that there was a flyer, I decided to join. ‘It worked on me’, as they say. We went out on Thursday evening, entered the router And then she tells me happy birthday, we’re going to Batumi. I was shocked. Then another couple of friends joined.”

“We had a shuttle from the airport to the hotel and on the way the guide explains about the position at the hotel and that you can sign up for all kinds of trips. We signed up for a trip to the waterfalls. On Friday it was rainy. We hesitated but in the end we said, come on, we’ll go because most of the places we’ll visit are indoor and there’s no problem. At the first point we stopped There was a spectacular view.

“We continued driving up the mountain and the road became very narrow. Two narrow lanes. We sat forward behind the driver. She is near the window and I am in the middle. We didn’t really see what was happening ahead because the driver’s seat was high. We were busy looking for a restaurant for the evening to go celebrate the birthday.

“I raised my head for a moment and I notice the truck coming in front of us inside our bus when our driver managed to turn right at the last second. Pull the steering wheel to the right and the truck ‘shaved’ the entire left side. I heard a huge ‘boom’. A few seconds passed and I suddenly felt that I was not breathing and I have a ringing in my ears. I took a breath and then I saw the horror of my life.”

“She died on the spot. I still tried to help. I tried to save her. To do something. But the impact was fatal. It took a while for rescue forces to come and in the meantime people who were there started evacuating in private vehicles. There was chaos.

“If the driver had not pulled to the right at the last moment then it would have been a head-on collision and most likely most of the bus would have flown over the mountain because there was such a barrier. Our driver got out okay by the way and was not hurt too much.

“Scratches and things like that, that’s it. Some of the passengers on the bus had broken arms, some had legs, and some had lost limbs. There are people with very serious head injuries. There were 16-17 people in the car. We only knew the couple who came with us. We speak Russian and could somehow communicate with The Georgians. We helped the husband of the late woman from Bat Yam because, on top of everything, he also didn’t know the language.”
