3687 permissions were given for maintenance of roads

In Bahrain last year alone, the Ministry of Public Works announced that 3,687 permits were issued for road diversion for various maintenance and other purposes.

Permission was given to block or divert road traffic for various things like road construction, laying of sewers, laying of electricity and water pipes.

Last year around 5170 applications were received from various fields. Of these, 3687 have been sanctioned and 3510 have been completed.
