On Tuesday, April 30, a earthquake in Cusco of magnitude 4.4 was strongly felt in the district of Andahuaylillas, province of Quispicanchi, Cusco region. The Geophysical Institute of Peru (IGP) reported that the earthquake occurred at 5:09 in the morning with a depth of 10 kilometers. The coordinates of the epicenter were recorded at -13.55 latitude and -71.66 longitude.
After that tremor, in the next two hours two replicas were recorded. The first at 06:59:46 magnitude: 3.4, intensity: III to 4 km SO of Andahuaylillas, Quispicanchi – Cusco. The second at 07:06:54 of magnitude: 3.3, intensity: II-III registered 5 km SO of Andahuaylillas, Quispicanchi – Cusco.

Since April 16, a series of earthquakes began to be felt in the Cusco region. So far there are a total of eight earthquakes. Earthquake in Cusco: Residents of Andahuaylillas ask for support
The residents woke up with the movement and left their homes to gather in the town square. In the midst of uncertainty, they asked the authorities for tents to be prepared because some adobe homes and the town police station reported damage.
The National Emergency Operations Center (COEN) acted immediately, coordinating with local and regional authorities. They confirmed that the earthquake in Cusco was perceived as strong in several districts, including Acomayo, Acopia and Mosoc Llacta, among others.
