MUMBAI: In the new season of the IPL, not only batsmen but also some bowlers have won huge franchises in mega auctions. Four Indian bowlers won over Rs 10 crore in the auction. The five most expensive bowlers of the new season know how much they will get for each ball they throw based on their salary.

Afghanistan’s star spinner Rashid Khan is the highest paid bowler in the new IPL season. Therefore, one of his balls is the most valuable. Rashid was with Sunrisers Hyderabad till last season. The actor was brought to Gujarat at a cost of Rs 15 crore. He gets Rs 4.46 lakh for every ball he throws for Gujarat.

Deepak Chahar is the highest paid Indian bowler. The Chennai Super Kings brought Chahar back to their camp for Rs 14 crore. Taking this amount and the maximum number of overs he is likely to bowl in a season, the value of a ball is Rs 4.16 lakh.

Jaspreet Bumra has been retained in the Mumbai team for Rs 12 crore. Accordingly, Bumrah’s pay per ball will be Rs 3.57 lakh. RCB brought back Herschelle Patel for Rs 10.75 crore. The value of a ball of a player is Rs 3.19 lakh.
