Cooperation Minister VN Vasavan said that 38.75 crores have been returned to investors from Karuvannur Bank. 4.60 lakhs was returned to deceased Philomena. He gave money for his son’s treatment even when he asked for it. The minister also said that he has received the report of the registrar of join in this regard. There are very few groups that do not return the investment. The figure of 162 gangs being circulated is incorrect. The problem is only in 132 groups under the welfare cooperative model. Minister Kottayam said that many of them will not come under the scope of cooperation.
