Both of them were allowed to continue their journey, because the concentration of alcohol in their bodies did not exceed the permissible limits.

Meanwhile, for two car drivers V. Kudirkos st. less fortunate – they lost their driver’s licenses and will have to pay hefty fines.

First of all, the man driving the BMW got caught. He blew 0.57 percent into the breathalyzer with the first puff, and 0.51 percent with the second.

Soon, the officers stopped the journey of the man driving the Kia car. He blew 0.71 percent into the breathalyzer. and 0.76 percent.

While some officers were working on V.Kudirka St., others were working on nearby Gediminas Ave. checked the sobriety of scooter riders. And here the officers got caught by three easily beaten girls. More precisely, four girlfriends were stopped, but three of them inflated their blood alcohol levels.

As the girls themselves later said, they are students and decided to have fun at the club on Friday night. At first, he sucked this and that at home, and then he went to the city. In order to be faster, he took the scooters parked on the street, and on the way they were stopped by the police.

Three out of four girls breathed 0.44 percent, 0.57 percent into the breathalyzer. and 0.47 percent. Officers wrote protocols and imposed fines of 80 euros on each of them.

“At first it was fun. After that, not so much… It will be a lesson for the future,” one girl said while the officers were issuing fines.

The girls stopped by the police reacted differently to the unpleasant situation. While several were happy to talk to reporters and pose for photos, one was crying and worried that her photos might end up in the media.

The police remind that only sober people are allowed to ride bicycles and scooters. The permitted alcohol limit for riding bicycles and scooters is the same as for car drivers – no more than 0.40 per cent.
