4 Male Students Suspended For Dancing In Burqas At College Event

There is a private engineering college in Vamanjur, Mangalore, Karnataka. The Student Union Inauguration Ceremony was held in this college yesterday.

During this program 4 students danced to Bollywood songs on stage. The 4 students, dressed in Burqa, a religious dress worn by Islamic women, took to the stage and danced to the song.

The students below the stage cheered and celebrated the 4 Muslim students wearing burqas and dancing. A video of this dance went viral on social media.

In this case, the college administration has suspended the 4 students who danced after the video of the students wearing burqas went viral.

The college administration has explained that this program is not among the permitted programs, and all the students involved in the dance belong to the Islamic religion and the management will not support any activity that harms the religious harmony of the community and everyone in the college.
