The 1/8 final stage of the Youth World Boxing Championship started in Budva, Montenegro.
As reported by İdman.biz, four boxers of the Azerbaijani national team who entered the ring at this stage ended their performances with victories.
Bilalhabashi Nazarov (48 kg) challenged Jair Bonilla (Ecuador). The national team member won all 3 rounds and defeated the opponent with a score of 5:0 (30:26, 30:26, 30:26, 30:26, 30:26). In his next fight he will fight Angel Sober Ruiz (Cuba).
Zidan Humbatov (51 kg) will continue to fight in the quarter finals. Our boxer defeated Mateusz Szocharya (Poland) with a score of 5:0 (30:27, 30:26, 30:27, 30:27, 30:27). Humbatov’s next opponent will be Meroy Sufijonov (Tajikistan).
Omar Aslanly (54 kg) showed his strength to Bairzhan Muratov from Kazakhstan. Our boxer won 4:1 (28*28, 29:27, 27:29, 29:27, 28*28). In the quarter finals, Omar will meet Sobirzhon Tastanov (Uzbekistan).
Ali Abdullaev (63.5 kg) won his third fight in a row. In the 1/8 finals he knocked out Ruslan Gafurov (Tajikistan) – 5:0 (29:28, 29:27, 29:28, 29:28, 29:28). In the next fight, Abdullaev will meet Emmanuel Fotiadis (Greece).
Let us note that three more boxers from our team will take part in the 1/8 finals.
