jpnn.com – The Indonesian Batik Lovers Association (IPBN) together with Jeeves Indonesia, supported by the Indonesian Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy, is again holding the 2024 Indonesian Batik Prince and Princess Election (PPBN).

This is the 10th time the national ambassador selection event has been held.

IPBN General Chairperson and Indonesian Actress, Ayu Dyah Pasha stated that PPBN had been on hiatus for 4 years due to Covid-19.

This year, PPBN was finally held again with the tagline “Young, Gay, Cultured”.

The 2024 PPBN event will be an event to showcase Nusantara culture, especially batik.

“This is an opportunity to introduce a variety of Indonesian batik, such as Balinese batik which was brought back to PPBN 2024,” said Ayu when met by Galeri Indonesia Kaya, Central Jakarta, recently.

On the other hand, the IPBN Advisory Board and the Initiator and Founder of IPBN, Dr. Sapta Nirwandar emphasized the importance of preserving batik as a cultural heritage of the nation, especially by the younger generation.

Since being inaugurated by UNESCO, the diversity of batik in Indonesia has increased.

The selection of Putra Putri Batik Nusantara was held again, a moment to introduce Indonesia’s cultural heritage.
