40 minutes of Diablo 4 has gone online

by time news

Just after the dramatic leak of dozens of videos from GTA 6, it’s the turn of another game that regularly stars at the top of the list of the most wanted games: Diablo 4. Two videos, about 40 minutes long in total, have gone online and give a unique look at the new action and role-playing game of Blizzard, which is expected to be released only next year.

It is important to emphasize that unlike GTA 6, a game that the Rockstar development studio is hardly ready to admit its existence, Diablo 4 has already been presented to the public and it is certainly not the first time that gamers get to see it. So far, however, the game has been presented in the form of edited videos of selected segments, while the leaked videos show an entire gameplay segment, from start to finish, from a relatively recent beta version that was delivered to company employees and their families.

In the video, you can see a number of different adventures (“quests”) on the main game map, and quite a few battles that seem quite faithful to the spirit of the series, albeit with richer and more detailed 3D graphics. Overall, Diablo 4 seems to be at a relatively advanced stage in its development, with large stages, full storylines, and a fairly stable experience.

Despite all this, Blizzard – a company known for particularly long development processes – is in no rush. At the moment the company is only committed to a release date “during 2023”, with a simultaneous launch for PC, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 consoles, as well as Xbox One and Xbox Series S/X.

Let’s recall that about three months ago, Blizzard launched Diablo Immortal, a mobile and free edition, which received a rather cold reception from fans of the brand, but has since raked in tens of millions of dollars in revenue.
