Gangwon Wonju Police Station announced on the 22nd that it had arrested Mr. A (43) on charges of driving under the influence of two sanitation workers (Drunk Driving and Dangerous Driving under the Aggravated Punishment Act for Specific Crimes).

Mr. A is accused of hitting two environmental cleaners while driving his car in a drunken state near the Hakbongjeong three-way intersection in Taejang-dong, Wonju-si at around 6:20 am on the 15th.

In this accident, sanitation worker B suffered severe leg injuries, and C also complained of mild pain in his legs and chest, and was treated at the hospital.

At the time, it was known that Mr. A’s blood alcohol level was 0.084%, which was higher than the level of license cancellation (more than 0.08%).

The police plan to investigate the exact circumstances of the incident against Mr. A and hand it over to the prosecution.
