As part of the implementation of the Sahel Community Recovery and Stabilization Project (PCRSS), the Association Monde Rural (AMR) organized a training session for the benefit of 40 young people including 27 boys and 13 girls.
The official ceremony marking the end of this session took place on Saturday September 16, 2023 at the association’s headquarters in Gourcy.

Placed under the presidency of the High Commissioner of the province of Zondoma, it was attended by the presidents of special delegations from the municipalities benefiting from the project, directors and heads of provincial services, heads of civil society organizations, etc.
The Director of Associative Life of the AMR Abdoulaye Savadogo indicated that this session targeted young people from nine municipalities in the Northern region, namely Arbollé, Yako, Gourcy, Ouahigouya, Thiou, Namissiguima, Barga, Titao and Ouindigui. It aims to increase the capacities of local authorities to develop resilience in the field of domestic energy by exploiting the potential of solar power.

The representative of the President of the special delegation of Gourcy, Djéneba Ouédraogo, welcomed this initiative which, according to her, is a blessing for all the beneficiary municipalities which now have skills capable of participating in the development and development of the populations.
“I invite you to use these skills to create new job opportunities,” she advised the young people.
Through the voice of their representative Jecolia Zoungrana, the beneficiaries expressed their gratitude to the AMR, the trainers and the local authorities for the effectiveness and quality of the training they received.

He further urged young people to inspire others by implementing the skills acquired. Theoretical and practical courses on photovoltaic electrification systems, sizing followed by a practical installation case carried out on an AMR building constituted the backbone of the ten days of training, at the end of which each of learners received a complete kit and a certificate of participation.
It should be remembered that the AMR was selected for the implementation of component 3 of the PCRSS in the North and Sahel regions with funding from the Burkinabe State and the World Bank.
