400 women in their fields meet in Lloret de Mar to create a collaboration network

Nearly four hundred women who are leaders in their respective fields of work they are meeting this Saturday at the Sant Pere del Bosc hotel in Lloret de Mar to get to know each other and start one collaboration network to help each other in the different projects and objectives.

He Suquet de Dones is the name of this eventt which was born with the intention of having an annual frequency and which has attracted businesswomen from sectors such as technology, pharmaceuticals or tourism, as well as artists, politicians and communicators.

The modernist site of Sant Pere del Bosc, isolated in the middle of the forest, met the privacy conditions sought and, from the first hour, it has been protected by the police to ensure the safety of the participants in the meeting, some with prominent political positions .

The president of the Guitart Hotels Group, Cristina Cabanasserved as hostess and explained to EFE that it was a meeting of women “from different sectors” eager to meet each other.

The idea arose months ago when a group of wonderful women began to think that it was necessary to find a space where women entrepreneurs could meet and references to share concerns, visions and also include solidarity,” explained Cabañas.

In this last section, the donation of the funds collected to the Eurofirms Foundation is framed so that they can be allocated to REPTE 8M, an initiative for the employment of women with disabilities.

Cristina Cabañas recalled that this meeting is conceived as “a space of maximum discretion”, which seeks anonymity, “because here there are political ideologies of all kinds and very varied professional sectors”.

The new network will make it easier for women to contact referencessometimes difficult to access, and give credit to “invisible talents” according to Cabañas.

The participants in the Women’s Suquet come from different parts of Spain, although the majority are from Catalonia.

The director of the Eurofirms Foundation, Maria Jordanpresent in Sant Pere del Bosc, thanked the organization for choosing the 8M CHALLENGE for the solidarity initiative.

“It’s a six-month accompaniment that trains, guides and mentors these women, because Spain has 825,000 disabled people and only 26% have an employment contract,” he explained.

The Sant Pere del Bosc site aspires to consolidate itself as the stable seat of the Suquet de Dones.
